Advancing Cyber Education
in the Classroom.
The demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals is outpacing supply.
As part of the CWA Academic Program, Maryland’s community colleges have access to the BCR Cyber Series 3000 Cyber Range through dedicated remote workstations installed on campus. This access empowers faculty to integrate advanced, hands-on simulation directly into their cybersecurity curriculum — enhancing instruction and giving students exposure to real-world tools and scenarios.
Colleges use the cyber range to enrich credit-bearing courses and academic programs, providing students with practical experience in network defense, threat detection, and incident response — all within a controlled, virtual environment. This immersive learning experience helps bridge the gap between traditional classroom teaching and the applied skills needed in today’s cybersecurity landscape.
By equipping classrooms with enterprise-grade simulation technology, the CWA Academic Program is elevating cyber education statewide and ensuring that students across Maryland have access to cutting-edge training — right from their local community college.
