BCR Cyber Launches Governance, Risk, and Compliance Applied Fundamentals Training and Certification

By August 19, 2026No Comments

BCR Cyber today announced it has launched a new Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Applied Fundamentals Training and Certification program.

This entry- to mid-level program was developed in collaboration with Northrop Grumman and covers foundational concepts, key frameworks, methodologies, and emerging trends shaping modern GRC practices. Over the course of 40 hours of online and instructor-led training, program participants gain a foundational understanding of cybersecurity, cloud, and AI oversight in everyday IT operations, which aligns with business strategy, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Students will also develop technical writing and documentation skills, ensuring they can effectively communicate governance and risk policies, procedures, and compliance reporting based on the various frameworks offered.

“GRC has evolved from manual compliance and risk assessments to a holistic, integrated discipline spanning auditing, legal, finance, IT, HR, and executive leadership,” says Michael Spector, President and CEO, BCR Cyber. “BCR Cyber’s GRC program is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge of how organizations connect IT with business goals, manage resources, address risk, ensure compliance, and establish accountability across the enterprise.”

This program was developed with employer needs and federal compliance standards in mind. Today, advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing enable real-time insights, automation of routine tasks, predictive analytics, and improved decision-making. This transformation supports organizational agility, efficiency, transparency, and resilience against cyber threats and regulatory changes.

“The evolution and complexity of today’s technologies, organizational structures, and changing regulatory needs create demand for skilled professionals who understand the new GRC landscape,” says John Robinson, Director of Network Solutions, Northrop Grumman. “We are proud to work with BCR Cyber to help develop a program that prepares students for today’s GRC workforce requirements and positions them for the future.”
